One block from the East River, Dov Land stands as one of South Williamsburg’s remaining, original loft buildings. Built in the late 1870’s to house the McLaughlin Brothers company - once one of the country's biggest board game and children's book publishers – the building lay dormant for many years as Brooklyn manufacturing declined.
The neighborhood has re-emerged as an ideal residential neighborhood thanks to early investors like WCG who saw, as early as 2000, the potential that lay behind these solidly-built walls and floor-to-ceiling windows. Where some only saw abandoned factories, we saw the potential for new homes, new families and new generations to come. Our careful conversion from factory to residential units transformed Dov Land into highly desirable lofts and traditional apartments that serve this increasingly desirable Brooklyn neighborhood.
